After completing high school in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, she attended Macalester College in St. Paul, graduating in 1973 with majors in biology and music. In 1979 and 1983, she completed graduate degrees in organ performance from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Marrying right after school, Angela moved to Tidewater, Virginia in 1983, where her husband, Mark, was stationed in the U.S. Navy. As Director of Music at Larchmont United Methodist Church, Norfolk, Angela also taught organ and harpsichord at Old Dominion University. She was a performer on harpsichord and Renaissance woodwinds with the Locrian Consort, a professional early music group in Norfolk. In 1987 the Saunders family moved to Lakehurst, New Jersey,. At that time, Angela was Organist-Choirmaster at the Church of St. Uriel the Archangel in Sea Girt until relocating in Bartlett, in 1992.

| | | | EILEEN FIELDS, ADMINISTRATOR FOR OPERATIONS AND FACILITIES:
Eileen came to St. George's about 3 months before The Reverend Gary Sturni did, in 2004, and knows the ins and outs of the life of the parish better than most anyone else. As Administrator for Operations and Facilities, Eileen's time is almost totally taken up with the finances of the parish, records management, and building maintenance and operations (she is Staff to the Buildings and Grounds Committee, as well as numerous other of our infrastructure committees). In light of recent changes, she is also taking back responsibility for maintaining our calendar (no small order).

PARISHIONER SARAH BETTENDORF, NEW DIRECTOR OF ST. GEORGE'S EPISCOPAL PRESCHOOL:
Long time Director Heather Crawford resigned effective July 31 in order to move to Nashville with her family. Heather gave us plenty of advance notice, so the SGEP board (Elizabeth Sellers, Chair; Tanya Dailey, Mary Margaret Freeman, Pat Gallagher (Vestry), Trish Lange, Melia Murphy), have had time to conduct a thorough search. The Rector is glad to announce that parishioner Sarah Bettendorf has been chosen as the new Director. Sarah has been President of the Board, and later Head of School of the Early Childhood Learning Centre, a prestigious International school in Seoul, Korea.

| | AMY MORSE, INTERIM YOUTH PASTOR:
Amy, a long time parishioner, mother of three and Vestryperson, has taken over the position of Interim Youth Pastor. The importance of stability and careful planning for this most important program makes Amy the perfect person to fill the slot. The Youth Council (Sandy Hooker, Chair), consisting of a good number of our parents, are reviewing the position description so that it may be posted publically this week and a final candidate in place by the end of August.
