A Message from the Rector
Dear Friends,
It takes courage to come to a place for the first time where you may not know anyone, nor have any idea what to expect. It can be daunting on a Sunday to hunt up a map and get up and out to a strange place.
But if you come, we can guarantee a warm welcome among a variety of people, and the opportunity to look into a well planned program of service, worship and learning. St. George's stands upon a centuries-old heritage of the Good, the True and the Beautiful of the Christian faith in the world-wide Anglican Communion. At the same time we want always to be alert to the imaginative and creative expansion of the Gospel for today. If you are a seeker, we are too: Everyone at St. George's was new once, tested the water at his or her own pace, and found it inviting, life-giving and refreshing. We hope you will also.
Our worship schedule is varied:
- 8:00am is traditional
- 10:00am is very musical and active
- 5:30pm is meditative (still with music), subdued, with many candles
Between the 8:00am and 10:00am services every Sunday a hot breakfast is served and at 11am there are Christian Education offerings for all ages. There is a children's chapel for part of the 10:30am service, and of course a Nursery, with trained, well-supervised staff.
Feel free to email us, or phone, if you have a question. We hope you will stop by soon!
Peace and joy,
The Rev'd Gary Sturni
