St. George's Episcopal Bookshoppe
As an Episcopal and Ecumenical Christian bookstore offered to the community in Germantown, St. George’s Bookshoppe is a convenient source for Baptism and Confirmation gifts, for children’s books, Bibles and educational toys, as well as jewelry, greeting cards and inspirational gifts. Our mission: to be a ministry first of all to our parishioners and second to the community around us. In addition to being a ministry, another goal is to raise funds for the church.
Therefore, whenever a gift for a baby, birthday or christening, a wedding or graduation, an anniversary or hospital visit, a farewell or a new home remembrance is needed, remember us. Because overhead is low and our staff our all volunteers, all profits from the Bookshoppe go to the church. When you shop with us, you are helping the church.

The Bookshoppe News
I was thinking the other day of what a good balance we have in the bookshop between books and gifts. We do want to maintain a happy medium and not have the tail wagging the dog by having too many gift items and not enough books, or vice versa.
We now have a good supply of prayer books plus the rich, handsome combination prayer book-hymnals, bound in genuine leather in red and black. There is quite a range of prayer books starting with the Economy Edition in nice looking imitation leather up to those bound in calfskin. Having them personalized by adding the name in gold leaf adds to the uniqueness and long term sentimental value.
